About
Eight years on the auditor’s side of the table.
I’m Jacob McKiddie, CPA. I’ve spent my career on the auditor’s side of the table, working with nonprofit finance teams year after year. I watched capable, mission-driven organizations make big decisions on stale numbers, scramble to answer board questions, and rebuild the same schedules every year-end.
The problem was rarely the people. Most organizations this size simply don’t have senior finance expertise in the building, and a full-time hire isn’t realistic.
MOR Accounting exists to fill that gap: clearer monthly numbers, a more confident board, a finance team with backup, and, as a result, an audit that’s a non-event.
What that vantage point gives you
- I know what strong nonprofit finance looks like, and where it usually breaks down.
- I know what boards, funders, and auditors look for in the numbers.
- I know how to catch problems early, while they’re small and inexpensive to fix.
How we work
This is a partnership, not a pitch. We work in plain language, with your team rather than around it, and we tell you what we see, including when the answer is that you don’t need us.
I lead every engagement personally and stay your main contact. And every checklist, schedule, and template we bring installs at your organization and stays with your team.
The next step
Start with 30 minutes.
Tell us where things stand and what’s worrying you. You’ll leave the call with a clearer picture, whether or not we work together.
